This acoustic set is a collection of intimate coffee house songs.   We like to think of the collection as a pairing similar to that of blue jeans and coffee, or wine with candlelight, maybe hot chocolate on a cold and windy day.   Simple and inviting….

I’ve been pondering his description of a person holding a fork and how we either perceive the subject as the fork with the person as the background or the person as the subject with the fork as part of the landscape.   I guess it depends on what time you get up in the morning and whether you have studied 5.1 surround sound.   On that subject, I think someone in the world may be on the brink of discovering an amazing new concept in the field of multimedia— well beyond gaming.    Until next time…

Even musicians need a vacation.  We all know the work of a performer, songwriter or producer never ends.  Luckily, most of the music industry closes for the holidays so there is always a chance for rest if you are willing to take it.   Most of the people at Summit Songs try.   This year I visited relatives for the holidays and, behold, the electricity went out with a temperature below zero outside.   People in New York are very crafty, most of them have generators for times like this. Within in minutes we had warmth again, but one thing was still missing—electricity for the stove!    It was the first time for cooking a pie on the outdoor grill.  Some scraping of a burnt crust around the edges and “voila”   —just like a nice jazz solo…..

Changing times all around us.  During this holiday season, may you find an abundance of music to wrap yourself around for the moment–music to heal, music to expand and expound upon; so that you may embrace the coming year with peace, wonder and joy.  Happy Holidays, Summit Songs
